Days 21-23: Omihachiman, Shiga

I decided to take three days to recharge my batteries at home. Omihachiman lies close to Lake Biwa at one of the narrowest points of the Japanese mainland. It would’ve just been rude not to call in. The weekend was spent being normal; eating out, eating in, drinking tea, watching Game of Thrones, forgetting I’m mid-adventure. I could’ve left on Monday but wanted to see some of my students. They were so happy to see me that I was almost tempted to stop riding and ask for my old job back.

To The North!

Take a look at my route from here. Any suggestions for places to visit or things to do are most welcome.
